I absolutely could not keep out of my shop this Limited Edition variant inspired by the Rick & Morty series, the which in addition to being a highly followed and respectable animated series, also wanted to indulge in the creation of these incredible chips... and I would say that the result was truly surprising!
The series, considered to be in the cosmic horror genre, has its origins in an animated parody of Back to the Future, created by Roiland for the Channel 101 short film festival. Rick is a scientist who has moved in with his daughter Beth, a horse heart surgeon, and spends most of his time inventing various high-tech gadgets and taking his young nephew Morty - and later his granddaughter Summer - on dangerous and fantastical adventures through their and other parallel universes, discovering the horrors and wonders that populate them.
Pringles are known for their particular shape, geometrically defined as a hyperbolic paraboloid , and the packaging was invented by Fred Baur : it consists of a cardboard tube-shaped container designed to stack the chips with a thin film on top to tear off. This cardboard, in addition to being resistant to prevent breakage during very long international transports, has very peculiar construction characteristics: it is in fact suitable for the construction of a particular homemade antenna for wireless networks, the so-called cantenna .
