As the name of these snacks suggests, they are galactic square-shaped sweets born in the United States. Their story is quite absurd: it seems that Bertha Palmer, a businesswoman from Chicago, asked the chef of her hotel to prepare a dessert that was small enough to fit in a lunchbox and - at the same time - easy to eat for the ladies staying at the hotel.
