Waiting for Christmas is almost as magical and wonderful as Christmas Day itself. For those of us who, like me, wait for this time of year, trees and lights are never enough to express the emotions and sensations that we experience during these days. This year, therefore, I had to add to my collection that little something extra, that little gem that would allow me to experience these days of waiting in an even more unique and intense way. Here is the Advent Calendar... the latest arrival at Uncle's house! Made up of 24 boxes, ranging from December 1st to 24th, inside each one you can find one or more sweet or savory surprise snacks that will accompany your days and your palate until the big day!

At the beginning of 1908, in Germany, there was already the custom of waiting for the day of Jesus' birth by making 24 small packages to unwrap, one a day, from December 1st to Christmas Day, but Lang did something more: he prepared a calendar with a drawing for each day. The following year he introduced the detail of the little windows, from which angels or small Baby Jesuses would emerge to be cut out or assembled. Later, sweets and chocolates arrived.
