Cleverly designed by Wrigley's, a leading brand in this sector, which initially, just think, produced and sold soap and baking powder! In an attempt to boost sales, William Wrigley (the founder) then gave a small pack of chewing gum for every package of baking powder purchased.
You know what happened? Wrigley's quickly had to discontinue its soap and baking powder line because nearly all customers were more attracted to the gum than the actual products. Funny, right?
Wrigley's is, in fact, the largest manufacturer of chewing gum in the world… it currently sells its products in over 180 countries!
